IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Keys

  • Do you always bring a lot of keys with you?
  • Have you ever lost your keys?
  • Do you often forget the keys and lock yourself out?
  • Do you think it’s a good idea to leave your keys with a neighbor?

1. Do you always bring a lot of keys with you?

Not currently, as we’re in the midst of a school vacation, and the only key I carry is for our dorm. Back at home, we utilize a digital lock system, so I rarely have a need to carry any kind of keys.

2. Have you ever lost your keys?

Regrettably, there have been instances where my key slipped or fell while engaging in sports, leading to a thorough search of the area. On such occasions, my parents were understandably frustrated, as it resulted in having to change the lock.

3. Do you often forget the keys and lock yourself out?

I’ve experienced moments when I’ve accidentally left my key behind. Thankfully, I’ve been fortunate because our house is shared among five other individuals, and there have been occasions when someone was inside. Although there have been instances where I had to call them to open the door, there were times when they were occupied and I had to wait patiently.

4. Do you think it’s a good idea to leave your keys with a neighbor?

If I’ve known this individual for an extended period and they’re a trustworthy person, I wouldn’t hesitate to entrust them with my keys. However, if they are distant and there’s a negative history between us, I might have reservations about doing so.
