IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Jewelry
IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Jewelry
1. Do you often wear jewelry?
Not often. I usually wear a watch or something similar only if I’m going to a formal event like a gala. I have my phone, so I don’t need a watch. As a student, I don’t need to buy rings or necklaces, so I don’t have many opportunities or reasons to wear jewelry.
2. What type of jewelry do you like?
Although I don’t wear jewelry, I’m interested in cufflinks. I find them interesting because they make formal clothes look better. Wristwatches are also interesting to me. I appreciate the design of these items, but I wouldn’t buy them for myself even if I had the money.
3. Do you usually buy jewelry?
No, I don’t buy jewelry since I’m still a student. However, my dad buys jewelry for my mom or friends, especially watches. As a businessman, he often buys watches for his employees as a promotion gesture. He also buys cufflinks, which are quite expensive.
4. Why do you think some people wear a piece of jewelry for a long time?
There are many reasons. Some people find it comfortable and get used to wearing it all the time, like a part of their body. I know a few people who wear a gold necklace even in the shower. It just becomes normal for them, and they feel uncomfortable without it.
