2. Why are teachers always willing to help students?
3. What kinds of help do you often ask for?
4. When was the last time you asked for help?

1. Do you ask for help when you have a problem?

Actually, I rarely ask for help. As the only son, my parents taught me to be independent from a young age. They wanted me to solve my own problems. Although some of my friends say everyone needs help and that “no man is an island,” I still prefer to figure things out on my own. I do share my problems with friends to lighten the burden, but I don’t expect them to help me. Sometimes it’s fun to solve my own problems, and my parents rarely ask for help themselves. I can’t remember the last time they asked for help from relatives or friends. So, that’s why I rarely ask for help.

2. Why are teachers always willing to help students?

I wouldn’t say teachers are always willing to help, but it’s part of their job. Some teachers help students by not helping them directly, allowing students to become more independent. Teachers might provide advice or guidance, but they don’t solve problems for students. This approach gives students the opportunity to explore and learn on their own. As a teacher, nudging students in the right direction without fully helping them is sometimes the best way to support them.

3. What kinds of help do you often ask for?

When I do ask for help, it’s usually for small favors that I could do myself but find inconvenient at the moment. For example, if a friend is going to the grocery store, I might ask them to pick up something for me. It’s not a burden since they’re already going there, and I always compensate them. I might treat them to dinner or pay for their items. Other small favors include picking up items or helping with groceries. These small acts of help are part of maintaining our friendship.

4. When was the last time you asked for help?

The last time I asked for help was at the grocery store. I couldn’t reach a certain item because it was on the top shelf. Despite being taller, I had back pain and couldn’t fully stretch, so I was worried about falling or stumbling. I asked a staff member to reach it for me, but they couldn’t either. So, they went to the stock room and got the item for me from there.
