IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Breakfast
IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Breakfast
1. What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Since I’m still a student, most of my breakfasts are quick and easy to prepare. Sometimes I just have noodles or grab something like a rice ball from a convenience store. I’d rather sleep longer than prepare a meal for breakfast. However, during vacations or weekends, I tend to have a more decent breakfast. We might go out for brunch or I might prepare something myself if I have the whole weekend.
2. Do you think breakfast is important?
I used to think breakfast was very important, but now I find it less so. People often say breakfast is the most important meal because it gives you energy for the day. While that’s true for children, as an adult, it’s not as crucial. If you had a heavy meal the night before, you can still function well without a big breakfast. Staying hydrated is important, and lunch usually comes quickly if you’re busy. It’s better not to overfill your stomach in the morning.
3. Are there any differences between the mornings of your childhood and now?
There are a lot of differences. As a child, I had to wake up and start moving right away, but now I can stay in bed for another 30 minutes. Breakfast was better when I was a child because my mom would prepare it. Now, I have to make it myself, so it’s not as good. Also, I didn’t take morning showers as a child, but I do now to help wake up my body.
4. Would you like to change your morning routine?
I’m a creature of habit and don’t like changing my morning routine because it affects my whole day. If I wake up late, everything else gets delayed too. So, I prefer to keep my routine fixed. I’ve been following the same routine since high school and plan to continue until I finish school.
