IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Teamwork
IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Teamwork
What do you dislike about teamwork?
What I dislike about teamwork is when you end up working with people who have different goals or work ethics than you. If everyone’s not aligned on the same vision, things can get messy. I really value working with like-minded people, because that way everyone is pushing toward the same outcome. When the work ethic doesn’t match mine, it tends to frustrate me. I believe in giving it my all, so when others don’t, it can be hard to stay motivated. It’s all about finding the right people who share the same drive and goals.
What do you learn from working in a team?
One thing I’ve learned from working in a team is that collaboration is key. You could spend hours on a task, but in the end, 80% of the work comes down to collaborating and sharing ideas, while only about 20% is the actual execution. It’s surprising how much time and effort go into the back-and-forth and problem-solving, and how much you rely on others to get things done efficiently. Being able to work well with others and communicate effectively is essential to making any team successful. It’s a real lesson in patience and trust.
Have you teamed up with someone else before?
Yes, I’ve had the privilege of teaming up with some incredible people in the past, and I’ve been fortunate to work alongside those who I really admire for their work ethic. It’s inspiring when you get to collaborate with people who are just as driven and committed as you are. The synergy between people who share the same passion and dedication really makes the work more fulfilling. It’s great to be surrounded by people who push you to be better and bring out the best in the team.
Do you like teamwork?
Honestly, I can’t say I truly like teamwork, but I understand that it’s necessary. It’s one of those things that comes with the territory, especially in business. I think it’s essential for getting things done, but I don’t always enjoy the process. I prefer working independently because it gives me more control, but I know that teamwork has its place. When you find the right team and everyone is aligned, it can be a great experience. So while I can’t say I love it, I do recognize its value when the situation calls for it.
