IELTS Writing Task 2 – 教育 History In School
Some people think learning history in school is important. Others think learning subjects more relevant to life is important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.（教育）
Introduction
It has been argued that subjects that are connected to one’s life are far more important than learning history. In my opinion, both approaches have individual characteristics,s and in order to advance as a civilization both of these should work.

History is considered an important part of academia as it provides records of past actions and their outcomes. This perspective is crucial for students to understand how actions taken by previous generations have shaped the present. For instance, during the cultural revolution in 1960, the actions of those in power greatly influenced the current state of the country. Learning from historical events provides a deeper comprehension of both past and present situations.

Other subjects, such as science and technology, which are closely connected to our daily lives, also hold importance. They offer guidance for leading societies into the future. By studying various branches of science, like agro-technology, future generations can enjoy abundant lives and increased job opportunities, thus contributing to the country’s economy. The teaching of science also plays a role in preventing and eradicating diseases, leading to longer lifespans. Therefore, focusing on subjects relevant to everyday life ensures adequate resources and longevity.
Opinion
In my opinion, both of these forms of knowledge are equally important and should be integral to our education system. History enlightens us about past generations’ actions, while science and technology pave the way forward. Together, they foster cohesive ideas on prosperity and well-being. Relying on just one perspective is limiting, and therefore, both subjects should be equally emphasized in classrooms.
Conclusion
In conclusion, these branches of knowledge, despite their distinct natures, must collaborate to enhance people’s lives. History serves as a guide to the past, while subjects like science and technology serve as guides to the future.
