IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Dream and Ambition

What was your childhood dream?
Are you the kind of person who sticks to dreams?
What is your dream job?
Do you think you are an ambitious person?

l. What was your childhood dream?

– When I was young, I had a strong desire to fight crime, inspired by my admiration for Batman. This led me to dream of becoming a police officer, envisioning myself as a defender of the weak and someone who upholds the law.

2. Are you the kind of person who sticks to dreams?

– In a way, I have managed to stay true to my dreams, although in a different profession. The underlying idea of helping people remains the same. While I initially wanted to help people as a police officer, my focus has shifted toward teaching and educating others. I still have a strong desire to make a positive impact and assist individuals, albeit in a different way.

3. What is your dream job?

– I have always envisioned myself as someone who can confidently speak in front of a large audience, much like a teacher. I aspire to inspire people and utilize my abilities to educate and enlighten them. Therefore, my dream job aligns with being a teacher, as it provides the perfect platform for me to fulfill my aspirations of making a positive impact on others’ lives through education.

4. Do you think you are an ambitious person?

– My friends and some of my teachers said that I have so much ambition in my life that I might fail in the future. However, I think that I just want a better version of myself.
