1. Have you ever learned to play a musical instrument?

  • When I was younger, I had an interest in learning to play the guitar, but it was more of a passing phase. Unfortunately, due to my academic commitments, I had to focus more on my studies.
  • Since my dad is a music teacher, I was exposed to the piano and guitar at an early age. The most memorable experience was when I learned to play the flute.

2. What musical instruments do you enjoy listening to the most?

  • I enjoy listening to several musical instruments. Besides the guitar, I have an affinity for the piano due to its classical and timeless appeal. I also appreciate the melancholic sound of the violin, especially when I want to listen to more somber music.
  • In addition to those, I also find the sound of the violin quite enchanting. Its mellow tones create a peaceful, yet somewhat melancholic atmosphere. The acoustic guitar is also nice as it exudes romantic vibes.

3. Do you think children should learn to play an instrument at school?

  • I believe children should have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument at school. It provides a structured environment for them to develop this skill, and it can serve as a positive distraction from their academic studies while fostering creativity.
  • Absolutely, I believe children should be encouraged to learn musical instruments at school. It not only enhances their cognitive abilities but also serves as a distraction from academic pressures. It’s a way for them to improve their overall mental well-being, fostering competence that can lead to opportunities in higher education and clubs, where they can network with peers.

4. Do you think music education is important to children?

  • Yes, I think music education is crucial for children. Learning music not only enriches their lives but also helps in the development of various aspects of the brain. It allows them to explore their creativity and cognitive abilities fully.
  • Indeed, music education is highly significant for children. It not only equips them with additional skills but also opens doors to explore other fields, be it in academia or the arts. This exposure provides opportunities to collaborate with others and connect with people who can support them as they grow older.
